Marketing Your Music - Quick discussion on selling at a show
Selling CDs at your shows is critical. Think of your show as
a promotion for your CD. To maintain a professional image, have a non-band
member (Band Representative) be in charge of handling business at a show.
The band can announce how to buy CDs during the show. The performers will
be preoccupied with other things to worry about making change.
The Band Representative (a friend of the band you can trust) should
be responsible for:
-
bringing change ($1, $5, $10 bills) for making change
-
selling CDs at the show
-
handing out business cards
-
handing out band postcards of upcoming shows
-
collecting mailing names of fans
-
selling any other merchandise (T-shirts, posters, etc.)
If the facilities are available, set up a band table with your merchandise
and information displayed.

and templates of the above items.
